In recent years, international pipe suppliers and steel pipe distributors have had to step up to meet an increased demand for their products. There are a handful of reasons for this trend.
The first is the rise of natural gas. To harvest and use this resource, companies have had to build refineries and filling stations overseas. These projects require pipes, and often very specific pipe alloys.
The second reason is growth in the developing world. From Asia to South America, developing countries are putting together their infrastructure, and this infrastructure often requires piping as well.
The last reason why international pipe suppliers are in demand right now is that although many countries are developing, they don’t necessarily have the resources to do it on their own. If you want to build a refinery or factory in Africa, South America or Asia, there might not be a local pipe supplier who can provide you with the products you need. Therefore, many have to look overseas to fulfill all the requirements of their projects.
As the global demand for steel pipe and steel pipe distributors has risen, we at St. Louis Pipe & Supply have tried hard to meet it.
We’ve grown into one of the largest international suppliers of pipe, tubing, flanges, fittings and valves in the United States. Here are a few of the reasons why:
Two Locations: One Central, One On The Coast
As our name indicates, our headquarters are centrally located in St. Louis, Missouri. This central location makes it easy for us to ship orders anywhere.
Furthermore, we also have a warehouse in Houston, Texas. The port of Houston is consistently ranked as the country’s largest port for foreign waterborne tonnage. This port access allows us to source and ship efficiently and rapidly to any corner of the globe.
To serve our customers as quickly as possible, we’ve also streamlined our work process. Our computerized inventory system allows us to respond to our clients needs without the delay sometimes caused by less efficient systems. This means we can get our clients’ products to them on time and on budget.
Experience, Experience, Experience
We’ve been in the pipe supply business for over 25 years. During that time, we’ve learned a thing or two about logistics and getting things done.
This experience helps us figure out how to best ship orders. For example, our warehouse and shipping yard in Houston is always very efficient, but if we see that we can save you money and time by shipping directly from one of our suppliers instead, we’ll do it that way.
We recently manufactured and shipped a pressure vessel to Africa for Shell, and we’re getting other international orders all the time. Do you need pipes for your overseas project? Contact us for a quote.
